Tip Tuesday #0628

Every week, we share what we call, "Tip Tuesday." These are bits of best practices to help awesome clinicians even better in documenting. We came about calling them tips because they are not anything new but simple reminders of the simple things that tend to be overlooked. We hope you find our tips refreshing.

The comment sections on most EMR's visit notes are automatically pre-filled with comments from the previous visit. This has pros and cons. One of the pros is it could save time if you will document similar comments. Another is it helps to see what was documented without leaving your note. Con is when the comments aren't applicable to your visit and you forget to update the comments. Worse is when the comments are the exactly the same among different clinicians.
