Every week, we share what we call, "Tip Tuesday." These are bits of best practices to help awesome clinicians even better in documenting. We came about calling them tips because they are not anything new but simple reminders of the simple things that tend to be overlooked. We hope you find our tips refreshing.

More popular EMRs are task-based (notes are assigned to clinicians). If the task/note type assigned to you is inappropriate for your visit and you are unable to change it yourself, take the time to contact your agency to get it changed before you start documenting. This will save you time later. Ex. "Skilled nursing visit - PM" was assigned but your visit was in the AM.
