Tip Tuesday #1213

It’s Tuesday and it’s time for another QA tip!

Every week, we share what we call, "Tip Tuesday." These are bits of best practices to help awesome clinicians even better in documenting. We came about calling them tips because they are not anything new but simple reminders of the simple things that tend to be overlooked. We hope you find our tips refreshing.

If the edema of one or both LE is non-pitting, there is no need to indicate the degree/grade when documenting your cardiovascular assessment because it only applies to pitting edema. Some agencies measure the size of the ankle, instep and calf for non-pitting edema and document the measurement in centimeters to see the level of progress.
